Description: Both the Philippines and Indonesia are prone to emergencies and disasters. This study focused on the DRRM policies in the health sector in both countries to critically analyze the policies in use. In order to accomplish this objective, the present study was guided by the following questions: (1) How do the DRRM policies in the health sector of the Philippines and Indonesia comply with international DRRM standards set by the WHO using the 6 building blocks of health system as a framework?; (2) What are the similarities and differences?; and (3) What are the good practices on the DRRM policies in the health sector of both countries?
