HIV and Tuberculosis have profound social and economic effects which impacts severely on enterprises, workers and their families in Africa. A successful approach to improve this situation is, to address HIV and TB issues at the workplace. Since 2007, two Water Companies in Ghana have been collaborating with the Ghana’s Ministry of Health and the GTZ to implement an HIV &TB Workplace Programme (WPP). The objective of the study was to determine the impact of the WPP of the Ghanaian Water Companies on workers in relation to HIV&TB knowledge, condom use, uptake of counselling and testing as well as the level of stigma and discrimination.
